can people donot sleep ? If cannot, is any idea about the minimum sleep time ? because I feel it is really wast time to sleep.
As I know many Japanese only sleep 2 to 3 hours per day and many scscientist e,g Einstein sleep quite short time.

Re: can people donot sleep ?
Mon, November 27, 2006 - 5:29 PMthe least amount of time I can sleep without feeling bad is 5 hours. I've had a few days where I was only able to sleep 3 hours and then I felt horrible for days and days until I was able to 'get back' those hours, I later crashed for over 12 hours when I was actually able to rest.
I don't think that's good, at all.
there a lot of Psychiatric conditions that I think get worse or could actually get 'triggered' by not sleeping, or not sleeping enough.
my mother stopped sleeping COMPLETELY for 10 days right before she had her first nervous breakdown and had to be hospitalized and put to sleep for pratically 15 days straight. and if I recall correctly, somthing similar to that happen to Mariah Carey a few years back (like in 2000 or 2001?) she said she had "stopped" sleeping, she was sleeping about 2 to 3 hours a day, for a VERY long time, and working non stop, then she started acting all weird and I even remeber seeing her have 'an episode' on MTV on TRL .
Not sleepiing enough is bad, sleeping too much is bad too (but I think that's usually a sign that somthing is already wrong with ones health) but not sleeping AT ALL is just crazy (VERY VERY BAD) .some bodies can handle just sleeping 3 hours a day ( mine certainly can NOT) I know a lot of people who do, but I think I would end up going crazy.
what good is it to have more time to do 'stuff' when one's mind it not clear or when one is too worn out and tired to do anything, eh?
Sleeping well = good mental and physical health.
that is all.
