I think it the workplace should have hammocks and let people have a powernap after lunch. I'd work even longer hours they'd do that.
Who's with me?
Who's with me?

Sat, March 20, 2004 - 2:32 AMOh, yes. I'm totally with you on that measure.
If I could have a nap after lunch I wouldn't doze off at work or at the library afterwards! -

Sat, March 20, 2004 - 8:50 AMIts still too cold here to bum out on a hammock. Oh there's nothing like snuggling up with a warm body in a hammock...

Tue, March 23, 2004 - 3:57 PMI second that motion. This cot is not working in my office and people look at me wierd when i'm trying to get comfortable. I think that a Hammock would add that extra earthy touch that I have been looking for at work.
Brilliant! -

Re: Hammocks at work
Tue, March 23, 2004 - 9:39 PMIv'e worked nights and Iv'e worked days.
The primary thing is what is your job, and what are you required to do. How alert must you be? Will you make a typo, or divert air traffic?
On my night jobs I ahve always needed a nap. And i am a good night worker. But the metabolism really takes a dive about 4am.
When i worked early ams, I was so sleepy by early afternoon.
My very best schedule is 9/10a-5/6p.
If you have a boss that acknowledges the power and reasonability of a nap, you have a gem.
